A full embedded camera-system is provided with the Bit-Multi-Ethernet-Camera, consisting of an integrated chain of IP blocks. It feeds a camera sensor’s video stream via RTP to an UDP/IP-Ethernet Interface. All processing of the video stream and protocol handling is done in hardware. Only a lens, a camera sensor, PHY components and housing are needed to provide a complete camera.
Local image processing functions can be inserted as HDL-based hardware or processed by an integrated or an external controller.
For applications where multiple camera sensors are needed, local image processing can generate a result in a single separate stream, or separate video streams can be forwarded to a host via separate UDP ports.
